The goal is to bring together linguists, lawyers and practitioners to explore issues concerning the legal language English as well as that of other European languages \u200b\u200band non-European, in relation to different cultures and legal systems.
Papers will address aspects of language and law: * power relations and ideology in the law * cross-cultural communication
* legal pedagogy of legal language (LSP, ESP, EAP) * forensic linguistics * * plain language and the law
